2006 AUTUMN LECTURE SCHEDULE LECTURE SERIES 2009 - Wednesday, 27th May 2009 at 7.30pm - MSA President, David Cooper will give an overview of the MSA's Spaceward Bound Australia program and our involvement with NASA's Spaceward Bound project. This will be followed by the Mars Society's documentary "The Mars Underground." a 90 minute hi-defininition movie directed by Scott J. Gill. Released in 2005, The Mars Underground is a landmark documentary about renowned aerospace scientist and visionary, Dr Robert Zubrin, and his struggle to get the first human mission to Mars iooff the ground. "Zubrin really, nearly alone changed our thinking on this issue..." - Carl Sagan. See FLYER Wednesday, 10th June, Professor Brian O'Brien will first join us with his latest finding on his studies of Moon rock sample from the Apollo missions. Professor O'Brien will be joined by a secong lecturer, arrangements for this person are still in progress Our series of lectures for 2009 is under preparation and the schedule should be finalised around the end of August. In this series we expect to have several presentations from high school students as well as our high quality professional scientists and engineers.
