ALL MAIL RATES IN AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS All orders within Australia are sent Parcel Post unless specified by the customer. International Orders are sent Air Mail unless customer specifies otherwise. A small charge for packing material is added to orders. Most boxed products, plastic kits etc weigh (when packed) over 500g, please do not expect to have them sent for the minimum charges.
Current AUSTRALIA POST Parcel Post rates within Australia (from 4th April 2011) are as an example: Up to 250g Regular Parcel rate = AU$ 4.75 Over 250 up to 500g Regular Parcel rate = $6.05 Parcels over 500g up to 20kg Within Western Australia - From AU$ 8.00 PLUS Zone W1 - $0.00/kg, Zone W2 - $0.65/kg, Zone 3 - $1.15/kg. PostCode Zones W1 are 6000-6214, W2 are 6215 - 6699 and W3 are 6700-6799 (note special rates available for Christmas 6798 and Cocos (Keeling) Islands 6799 and Australian Antarctic Territories 7151. Contact us for details. For destinations in the rest of Australia - From AU$ 10.10 to AU$ 71.10 (20kg to Nth Qld for example). (Norfolk Island slightly more). For parcels over 1kg, price is calculated using cubic weight if this is greater than the actual wieght. The cubic weight is the parcel's volume in cubic metres multiplied by 250, i.e. Length .80m X Width .60m X Height .20m X 250 = 24kg
International Order Rates - These are issued as a guide, type of packaging has an effect on overall weight. For Example, a Tamiya 61040 P-51D weighs around 234 grams, which puts the model under the 250 gram limit, however once packed it comes in well over 250 grams which makes the parcel more expensive to mail.
